Summer is here and I am going to enjoy it!

Hooray, summer has arrived, finally! Apparently we are going to have a very short summer this year (*ahem*), so I hope you don’t mind, but I am going to make the most of this 3 summery days.

Maybe the weather is still lousy on your end, or maybe you just have to stay indoors for some reason or maybe you are bored out of your skull, well do I have some good news for you ;-). I just found two time killers that will brighten up your day.

First up: The Human Brain Cloud -a little word association game. It’s been up for a month now and it is enlightening. The project started with the word volcano and has erupted in a collection of 229813 unique words, 2153982 connections and 184678 humans who have played the game. The game is very easy to play. A word, phrase or number comes up and all you have to do is type the first thing that comes to mind. When you don’t like the word, phrase or number just hit the enter button and you will get a crispy new word (phrase, number etc). The top three most submitted words right now: sex, me, money.

Okay, maybe to boring for you. Well, here is something much more fascinating ;-)

Time killer two:The Amsterdam Canal Parade
Today is a special day in Amsterdam, or to be more precise the whole weekend is kind of special because Amsterdam will be turned into the Pink capital of Europe – in other words: the party place for all things Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Transgender (and every other queer community of any bent). The most popular highlight is, of course, Saturday's vibrant Canal Parade and here is the good news, you can watch it today, Saturday, August 4, live online(if it doesn't work click on the logo or try this one). It will start at 15:00 (3:00 PM) local time - converted that means it will start at:

• 14:00 (2:00 PM) London time,
• 9:00 AM New York time,
• 6:00 AM Los Angeles time,
• 23:00 (11:00 PM) Canberra time,
• 21:00 (9:00 PM) Singapore time.
